Some of these features need to be configured on your phone first. Let’s take a look at what they do, and how to set them up.

With Wi-Fi Calling
Apple settings - Tap the ‘Settings’ icon on your home screen - Tap ‘Phone’ - Tap ‘Wi-Fi Calling’ - Move the ‘Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone’ switch to on. - A warning for location data will appear - Tap ‘Enable’ to activate Wi-Fi calling
Wi-Fi Calling is the ultimate coverage extender. It lets you make
and receive voice calls and texts over any Wi-Fi network your phone
is connected to. This means that if you’re in an area with minimal or
no coverage, you can still use your phone the way you normally do.
Without Wi-Fi Calling
Android settings - Open ‘Apps’ and find the ‘Settings’ icon - Tap ‘Connections’ - Tap ‘Wi-Fi Calling’ - Select ‘On’ to enable Wi-Fi Calling - Select ‘On’
Turning on Wi-Fi Calling.
VoLTE (or Voice over LTE) allows you to continue high-speed
data use even when you’re on a voice call. It makes it easy to
keep using your phone or tethered laptop while you’re talking.
Apple Devices If your handset supports VoLTE this feature is turned on already.
VoLTE allows you to talk on your mobile and tether on your laptop at 4G speed.
Without VoLTE your laptop tethering will drop to 3G speed.
Android Devices - Open apps and find the ‘Settings’ icon - Tap ‘Connections’ - Tap ‘Mobile Networks’ - Switch VoLTE on
Turning on VoLTE.
Once your new SIM is up and running, you’ll need
to set up a new voicemail greeting.
It’s easy. Just dial 321 and follow the instructions.
Note: messages you’ve saved in the old voicemail system
won’t be available in your new voicemail box.
