Fixed line, also known as, landline telephone refers to a phone that use fibre optic telephone line for transmission of voice and data communications. A fixed line can be hard wired or cordless in fixed locations. Fixed lines are separate from the mobile phone network, by which, end users are connected to the network via wireless transmission technologies.
